Welcome to our newly decorated B&B set on the edge of the village of Gouarec in the Cotes d’Armor in Brittany. Ideally situated for walking, fishing, cycling, bird watching, riding, canoeing or even doing nowt!
The Nantes-Brest canal runs through the village, as does the River Blavet, past the medieval buildings offering good walks along the towpaths. Fishing permits are available locally. In the village are shops, restaurants and bars, along with a very popular pizzeria where the food is made to your order. There is also the local tabac, where you can buy English newspapers and magazines and enjoy a drink (hot or cold) whilst reading them.
The towns of  Rostrenen and Loudeac are a short distance away, with their shops and local markets. Also very close is the ruined abbey of Bon Repos which has a local crafts and organic market on Sunday mornings. Just past this is the huge Lac de Guerledan, with sandy beaches, water sports and restaurants. Our central position is ideal for stop-overs, short breaks and house-hunting. We can also introduce you to useful people such as tradesmen and estate agents.
In the evening you are invited to relax in the garden to the sound of  the river flowing by. You can enjoy fishing for trout, pike & carp or maybe while away your time painting the picturesque view. There is a BBQ available for those wishing to enjoy an ‘al fresco’ meal or you can take a stroll with the choice of several bars & reasonably priced restaurants to enjoy some of the local ‘French Cuisine’.
